SOUTH BY FIVE
Our signature race series and now well established on the running calendar South By Five visits each of the six parks that the iconic South Side Six race ran through.
Starting in early November, events are held fortnightly over a 10-12 week period (depending on Christma/New Year dates).
A 5km event is held in each park, with runners able to enter single events or the whole series.
5 of the 6 races must be finished to complete the series and become a “Fiver”!

Pricing
All races are free to enter. Places are limited so please only sign up if you intend to run. If your circumstances change, please let us know, we’re happy to transfer places and may also have a waiting list.
If you are able we would like to encourage entrants to bring donations to the local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee.

Charity
South By Five supports local charity Give A Dog A Bone….and an animal a home.
They help support over 60s to afford a pet rescue companion. Tackling loneliness for the individual and homelessness for the animal, by removing the financial barriers to an over 60s person adopting a rescue animal.
They are based in Shawlands, less than a mile from Acorn HQ – now that’s supporting local!
Litter Pick
There will be an organised litter pick for each park that the series visits – it’s nice to put something back into the parks we use. Details on times and dates will be made available closer to the time. Acorn Trails conduct regular litter picks – find out more in the “We Care” section of our website
