Migo Mile for June

A Good Sunday Morning

It is fantastic to be back. Back putting races on, and back with Migo Mile.

Having hosted the Virtual Migo Mile during the lockdown years, this is our first time hosting the “in-person” Migo Mile as Acorn Trails (previous editions were hosted by The Run Bible)

Back to basics, and trying to get the event back into people’s thoughts and calendars, we had just 20 runners sign up for this free to enter race.

Event sponsor, Migo Sports, warned that the previous course record (4.44 Gavin Smith, Cambuslang) was under serious threat.

That forecast was to prove accurate, as Ross Good (Giffnock North) cruised comfortably over the line in 4.34, followed by club mate Conor Drummond in 4.55. Craig Brown (Garscube Harriers) closed out the podium places in 6.02. Ross – your £20 Migo Sports voucher for the CR is on its way!

Laura Lennon, donning her club vest depicting the Victoria Park-City Of Glasgow colours took the line in 6.28, with Acorn Trails regular Sheila Murray finishing in 6.55.
