Toota-Linn 2024 – report and results We’ve done Toota-Linn before. Not as Acorn Trails, but we rallied Glasgow South Road Runners into creating an event for the, now defunct Tour of Clydeside, for which Alex helped organise alongside it’s mastermind Robert Rogerson. The Kirkintilloch Olympian legend was Alex’s inspiration to stepping into the world of race organiser. Lots to thank him for! The original Toota-Linn in 2019 is marked in Linn Park as part of […]

Linn Park Trail Race report and results 2024

Pigs in sh*t Everyone thought our trail race in Pollok Park last month was a bit muddy. Linn Park got wind of this and said “hold my beer….”! The Linn Park Trail Race 2024 edition had enough mud to keep a team of pigs happy! By the time the runners crossed the finish line some of them resembled the proverbial pig! Smiles all round. Recent levels of rainfall meant even the dry bits of the […]

South By Five 2 – Lx5 “The Duck Pond”

South By Five 2 – Lx5 “The Duck Pond”

Linn Park is Alex’s favourite of the series. There’s no prizes for guessing why! It’s the sort of route that puts the “trail” into Acorn Trails! And features our now infamous Duck Pond! And a Duck Pond. If all that […]

What you can […]

Lx5 Seventy-seven of you returned to charge down the starting hill in Linn Park. Joined by another thirty four in their first series event of 2022, leaving this year’s South By Five the most popular yet. This shower had registered runners huddling under the trees, eagerly awaiting the starting hooter. Mud and puddles were […]

The feedback we had from 2021 meant we could not leave this […]

Sx5 – Linn Park race report

Lx5 race report South By Five in its second running started its second race. Linn Park was looking fantastic. Bright blue skies, glorious sunshine and a wee touch of ground frost, which would clear in time for the race start. It kept the race team chilled from the early setup. Returning runners were reissued their bibs from the previous event, now proudly sporting the red dot symbolising their completion of race 1 in Kings Park. […]
